You're advised to wear a sports bra the entire day for 3 weeks following surgery and during the day for 3 weeks afterwards. You should lie on your back during the first week and avoid lying face down for 6 weeks. Avoid lifting your arms too much. Avoid showering for 2 days. For a problem-free recovery period, rest at the beginning and avoid strenuous activities afterwards.

Recovery Process

You might have mild swelling, loss of sensation and mild bruising in nipple, however, all will resolve spontaneously in a short time. It is not necessary to remove absorbable sutures. After the 3rd day, bandages are removed and the patient can resume normal activities and work. After 7 days, you can swim in the sea or pool for a short time. Because the breast implant is perceived as foreign matter by the body, a sheath (capsule) of elastic, fine connective tissue may form around the implant.
