What is PRP?

PRP, which stands for "Platelet Rich Plasma", is a skin rejuvenation method which has been commonly preferred in recent years.

PRP Therapy

Basically, it is a treatment applied by superficial delivery or injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) obtained from the separation of a small amount of blood taken from the person into its components by a special centrifugation process.

Areas of use

It is a method used in removal of fine lines and wrinkles in the face, neck, cleavage area, hands and body and treatment of acne scars, spots and hair loss.

Reasons for PRP Application

Genetic, environmental, age-related, stress-based, alcohol and cigarette-induced factors adversely affect metabolism and slow down cell regeneration. PRP leads to increased production and brings about regeneration effect in the tissue it has been applied to. Its platelets have restorative effects.

How is PRP performed?

PRP obtained from a person's own blood is administered by injecting small amounts under the skin, and platelets the amount of which is much more than the amount that can be transported through the bloodstream are delivered to the area that needs to be repaired to provide rapid regeneration. PRP strengthens the collagen structure in the area of application and the bond between the cells.

Immediately after the application, the skin glows and tightens. The lasting effect of the treatment is clearly seen after 3-4 applications.

Does PRP have any side effects?

PRP applied by an experienced specialist in compliance with the required hygiene conditions will cause no side effects. PRP is obtained from a person's own blood so it's a risk-free procedure. After the procedure, you may have mild tenderness and redness due to injection, which will resolve spontaneously in a short time.

Who cannot have PRP?

PRP is not recommended to pregnant women, those on blood thinners, those with infection, those with a history of cancer or blood disease.

Differences between PRP and Stem Cells

In PRP application, platelets which initiate and stimulate repair of damaged tissue are used, whereas in stem cell treatment, repair is achieved using new cells to treat a condition.

What is the PRP kit?

The PRP kit consists of materials necessary for blood collection, storage, special centrifugation of blood and returning PRP obtained from a person back to the same person. A wide range of new generation PRP kits specially developed for every branch are available. A high quality kit approved by the Ministry of Health must be used. In some commercially available PRP kits, highly harmful substances such as sodium citrate are added to prevent clotting of blood when it leaves the body.

Will it cause harm if applied at home?

The PRP kit is a medical product and should only be used by qualified personnel. You cannot perform the procedure using the PRP kit on your own. What is important in PRP treatment is that the blood collected from a person is used before it clots, before it's spoiled and before the proteins in it precipitate. Choosing the right PRP kits is very important in terms of which PRP kit to use in which treatment and the success of hygiene application.

Benefits of PRP

The goal of PRP treatment is to regenerate the skin. Accordingly, firmer skin and reduced sagging, reduced wrinkles, lighter skin spots, brighter skin and reduced scars are observed.

How is PRP obtained?

A blood sample taken from the person under sterile conditions is transferred to a tube. It is processed in a centrifuge device with a special system and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is separated from other components of whole blood and used.

Who can have PRP?

Anyone who has no contraindication to removal of a small amount of blood from their body and who needs skin rejuvenation renewal and recovery can have PRP application.

Price of PRP

The pricing of the PRP application is planned entirely in a person-specific manner. The price will vary according to the number of regions that will be treated and the state of those regions.
